Punjab, Sept. 15 -- Ashutosh Gowariker has been appointed Festival Director of the 57th International Film Festival of India, which runs in Goa in November under the theme Stories Without Borders. Delegate registration is open, and so are entries for the festival's young-filmmaker programme.
The appointment
Gowariker takes over from Shekhar Kapur, who directed the 55th and 56th editions. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced the appointment, citing a decades-long association with the festival.
