Punjab, Oct. 10 -- A drone struck the Panama-flagged crude tanker MT GEM NO. 2 at Sharjah Anchorage in the Arabian Gulf. The ship was carrying a crew of 22 Indian nationals, and Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said on X that all 22 are reported completely safe.

The government said it is continuously monitoring the situation and is in contact with the ship management company about the crew's security and wellbeing. Sharjah Anchorage lies in the Dubai area of the UAE.
