Fiji, Oct. 29 -- The Tonga branch of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ) has welcomed Israel's inclusion as a Pacific Islands Forum partner, saying the relationship could create opportunities for cooperation in water management, agriculture and sustainable development.

In a statement, ICEJ Tonga said it fully supported the decision by Pacific leaders at their summit in Palau to include Israel in the Forum's sectoral partnership stream.

The organisation said the partnership aligned with its mission to raise awareness of Israel, promote understanding of its history and modern contributions, and strengthen ties between Tonga and Israel.
