Bhubaneswar, July 4 -- An youth reportedly went missing after being swept away in a rain-swollen drain near Vani Vihar in Bhubaneswar on Saturday, triggering a major rescue operation by the Fire and Emergency Services.

The incident occurred following heavy rainfall that lashed the city, causing drains to overflow and water levels to rise rapidly. According to preliminary information, the man, identified as Anil Singh, was walking beside the drain when he reportedly lost his balance and was swept away by the strong current.
