Bhubaneswar, March 18 -- A youth was found dead in a blood-soaked condition inside a rented house in the Talakurunia market area under Gopalpur police limits in Odisha's Balasore district on Wednesday, with police suspecting murder.

The deceased has been identified as Rajshekhar Mohapatra, a native of Nayagarh district. Preliminary reports suggest that he may have been killed by his roommate following a violent altercation.

According to sources, Rajshekhar Mohapatra and his roommate, Kailash Rout of Dhobashila village under Nilagiri police limits, were living together in the rented accommodation. Both were reportedly employed as a JCB supervisor and driver, respectively, under a local contractor from Talakurunia.
