Bhubaneswar, May 25 -- A youth was allegedly murdered over a previous enmity in Brahmagiri area, after unidentified assailants allegedly slit his throat, officials said on Monday.

The body was recovered from a cashew forest near Narsingha Patna bridge under the jurisdiction of Puri Sadar police station, sparking tension in the locality.

The deceased has been identified as Lipu Jena, a resident of Jagannath Patna village. Police reached the spot following reports from locals and have initiated an investigation into the incident.
