Bhubaneswar, April 24 -- A 21-year-old youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Odisha's Dhenkanal district on Friday, allegedly after being asked by police to produce a minor girl with whom he had eloped.

The incident occurred under Motanga police limits, where the youth was found hanging at his residence.

According to reports, the youth was in a relationship with a 13-year-old girl from the Angul Sadar police limits. The duo had reportedly eloped and travelled to Mumbai a few days ago. Following a complaint lodged by the girl's family, Angul Sadar police had detained the youth's parents for questioning.
