Bhubaneswar, May 31 -- A worker was burnt alive and another sustained injuries after a major fire broke out at a lime and paint warehouse in Balasore industrial area on Saturday night, police said.

The incident occurred at a warehouse located near the SBI branch in the industrial area. Three fire service units were pressed into service and managed to bring the blaze under control after firefighting operations.

According to preliminary information, two employees were present inside the warehouse when the fire broke out.

One of the workers managed to escape from the building despite sustaining burn injuries to his leg. He was rescued and admitted to hospital for treatment.

The second worker, however, could not escape and was burnt alive...
