Bhubaneswar, May 30 -- Serious allegations have surfaced from Bargarh town regarding the quality of Chhatua supplied to children and pregnant women under the government's nutrition programme through Anganwadi centres.

Residents alleged that the food supplement is of extremely poor quality, with reports of bugs and impurities found in the packets. Hundreds of women and young girls from different localities of the town approached the District Collector's office, carrying samples of the allegedly substandard Chhatua, urging immediate government intervention.
