Woman 'raped' at Rourkela railway station, Indian Railway employee arrested
Bhubaneswar, Sept. 4 -- A railway employee was accused of raping a young woman on the pretext of helping her book a train ticket at Rourkela railway station in Odisha. The accused allegedly took the woman to a restroom used by GRP personnel and allegedly sexually assaulted her.
The accused has been identified as Kapileswar Singh. He was apprehended by Government Railway Police (GRP). An investigation was launched into the allegation.
According to reports, Singh took the young woman to the restroom after offering to help her with a train ticket. He allegedly sexually assaulted her there.
A complaint was filed immediately following the alleged incident, following which GRP personnel apprehended Singh.
