Bhubaneswar, April 26 -- A male tiger suspected to have migrated from outside Odisha was spotted inside the dense forests of Similipal National Park in Mayurbhanj. Forest officials initiated an assessment to trace its origin and movement.
The tiger was sighted by the Similipal Protection Force during a routine patrol inside the sanctuary. Officials indicated that the big cat is believed to be a male and is not native to the Similipal landscape.
Preliminary inputs suggest that the tiger may have travelled a considerable distance before reaching the sanctuary.
