Bhubaneswar, April 8 -- Unseasonal storm activity continues to lash the state, with the weather department issuing a fresh alert for thunderstorms and rain across Odisha today. 

Several districts are expected to witness intense weather conditions, keeping residents on edge for a few days.

Jajpur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj have been placed under an orange warning. The weather office has cautioned that these areas may experience heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. 

There is also a possibility of hailstorms in parts of these districts, which could impact normal life.

Wind speeds are likely to reach 50 to 60 kmph during the storms.
