Bhubaneswar, Aug. 7 -- Ongoing row surrounding Ravenshaw University deepened as the Ravenshaw University Teachers' Association (RUTA) countered claims made by Cuttack Sadar MLA Prakash Sethi. The association stated that the legislator is not a member of the university Senate. They also claimed that the Senate formation process is still incomplete and no final notification has been issued.

Addressing a press conference, RUTA President Urmishree Bedamata noted that the letter written by the MLA to the Assembly Speaker is already in the public domain. She added that a resolution to the ongoing dispute can only begin once the MLA withdraws the letter.
