Bhubaneswar, Oct. 11 -- Vegetable prices have skyrocketed across Odisha's Cuttack during the holy month of Kartika, leaving consumers struggling to manage household budgets. The increased demand for vegetables during this period has pushed prices sharply upward, doubling the worries of families who depend on a vegetarian diet this month.
Until a few days ago, vegetable prices were relatively moderate, but they have now witnessed a steep rise.
As per the current rates at Cuttack's Chhatrabazar, pointed gourd is being sold at Rs 70 per kg.
