Bhubaneswar, Jan. 8 -- Agnivesh Agarwal, son of Vedanta Group chairman Anil Agarwal, passed away following a cardiac arrest at a New York hospital on Wednesday. He was 49. The tragic incident occurred while he was recovering from injuries sustained in a skiing accident in the United States.

In an emotional post on X (formerly Twitter), Anil Agarwal said his son had been convalescing at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and was believed to be on the path to recovery. "We believed the worst was behind us. But fate had other plans, and a sudden cardiac arrest snatched our son away from us," he wrote in a post on X, describing the day as the darkest of his life.
