Bhubaneswar, July 1 -- Two employees of the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Burla of Sambalpur district were arrested by the Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday in separate disproportionate assets (DA) cases after searches allegedly unearthed assets far exceeding their known sources of income.

The accused have been identified as Dhanurdhar Biswal, Establishment Officer-cum-Office Superintendent of VIMSAR, Burla, and Aswini Meher, Steward in the Office of the Superintendent, VIMSAR, Burla.

Both have been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018, and will be produced before the Court of the Special Judge (Vigilance), Sambalpur. Separate cases have been registered at Sambalpur Vigilance Police Station, ...
