Bhubaneswar, Sept. 25 -- Two pregnant women were rescued from rain-affected and remote areas of Ganjam district after they faced difficulties reaching medical facilities on Thursday. One of them was rescued from Jamugand village in Patrapur block.

As per reports, the other pregnant woman was evacuated from Brahmapali in Berhampur.

The administration rescued a six-month pregnant woman from Jamugand village after she fell ill and was in severe pain. Poor connectivity in the area made it difficult to take her to a medical facility.
