Bhubaneswar, March 18 -- Two migrant workers from Odisha died in Kerala's Malappuram district after allegedly falling into a well while attempting to rescue a goat. Initial reports suggest that both men were electrocuted by a motor pump installed inside the well.
The deceased have been identified as Narasingha Pradhan and Santosh Badatya, residents of Khariaguda village under Patrapur block in Ganjam district.
According to sources, the incident occurred when the duo entered the well to save the animal but came in contact with a live electric pump, leading to their deaths.
A fire services team later recovered the bodies from the well.
