Bhubaneswar, May 28 -- In a major development in the Twisha Sharma death case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested Giribala Singh, a former judge and mother-in-law of the deceased, from her Bhopal residence.

The arrest follows the Madhya Pradesh High Court's cancellation of her anticipatory bail, just days after Twisha was found dead at her matrimonial home on May 12.

CBI officials visited Singh's residence in Bag Mughaliya Extension, questioning her before taking her into custody. This action comes after Twisha's husband, lawyer Samarth Singh, was arrested by Bhopal Police on May 23, following his surrender to the authorities.
