Bhubaneswar, April 27 -- An elephant that reportedly lost its way from a nearby forested area entered a village in Balasore district on Monday morning. This triggered concern among residents and prompted monitoring by forest officials.
According to information, the tusker entered Saundia village under Khaira block after failing to return to the forest. It is said to have come from Kupari Sarisua hill on Sunday night and, after losing its way, reached the village on Monday morning.
The unexpected movement of the elephant into the habitation area led to anxious moments among villagers, with many gathering to observe the animal.
