Bhubaneswar, Aug. 26 -- A tourist bus carrying around 70 passengers met with an accident near the Markona Electric Office in Odisha's Balasore district on Wednesday.

The bus reportedly collided with a Scorpio and another car near Simulia Police Station on National Highway 16 in the district.

While the passengers on the bus narrowly escaped without injuries, an elderly man and a young woman traveling in the Scorpio sustained injuries.

The injured duo have been admitted to Simulia Hospital for treatment.

Simulia police arrived at the scene and launched an investigation, said sources.
