Bhubaneswar, June 16 -- Odisha is set to experience widespread rainfall activity accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and strong surface winds over the next five days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing Orange and Yellow warnings for several districts across the state.

According to the latest weather bulletin, a combination of favourable monsoon conditions and atmospheric instability is expected to trigger rain and thunderstorm activity across coastal, southern and western Odisha through June 20. Wind speeds during thunderstorms may reach up to 60 kmph in some districts, prompting authorities to advise residents to remain alert.
