Thieves lock husband, thrash wife and loot gold worth over Rs 5L in Kendrapara
Bhubaneswar, July 1 -- Two thieves reportedly broke into a house, confined the homeowner, physically assaulted his wife, and escaped with cash and gold ornaments valued at over Rs 5 lakh late on Tuesday night.
The theft occurred at Nial village under the jurisdiction of the Aul police station in Kendrapara district.
As per reports, the thieves targeted the residence of Dharmajaya Nanda. They entered the house by breaking through the asbestos roofing of a staircase room. After forcing open another door, the intruders locked Nanda inside his room from the outside.
