Bhubaneswar, March 7 -- Tension prevailed in Belpada village under Gania police station limits in Odisha's Nayagarh district after a dispute broke out over the reopening of a primary school that has remained locked for nearly a month following the death of a student.
According to sources, family members of the deceased student, along with residents of the same hamlet, had locked Belpada Primary School in protest over the incident and to demand action. As a result, academic activities at the school have remained suspended for the past 30 days.
The situation escalated when the district administration attempted to reopen the school. The District Collector reportedly visited the premises to unlock the gate and resume classes.
