Tata Power's TPCODL employee apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while taking Rs 15,000 bribe
Bhubaneswar, June 6 -- A lineman working under TPCODL was apprehended by Odisha Vigilance on Saturday while allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a farmer in Cuttack district.
The accused has been identified as Dharma Niranjan Chaudhury, Line man-A of the Narsinghpur Electrical Section.
According to Vigilance officials, Chaudhury was caught a short while ago while accepting the bribe amount from the farmer. The entire amount of Rs 15,000 was recovered from his exclusive possession and seized by the Vigilance team.
As per the allegations, an 11 KV power line passed through the farmer's agricultural land and a damaged electric pole located on the property was in a dangerous condition. Concerned about the possibility...
