Bhubaneswar, June 16 -- The southwest monsoon has advanced into more parts of Odisha, bringing hopes of widespread rainfall and improved conditions for agricultural activities across the state. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon is currently passing through the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Sambalpur, Deogarh and Sundargarh.

With the monsoon making further progress, rainfall activity is expected to increase in these regions over the coming days. Weather officials said conditions remain favourable for the monsoon to continue advancing across the remaining parts of Odisha.
