Bhubaneswar, Aug. 10 -- The suspense surrounding the Railway GRP constable Soumya Ranjan murder case continues, with the investigation taking another turn after the victim's father appeared before the Crime Branch.

Soumya's father appeared before the investigating agency in connection with the case and provided additional information to the investigating officer. His appearance before the Crime Branch comes as investigators continue to look into the circumstances surrounding Soumya's death.

During his appearance, Soumya's father also submitted a pen drive containing various WhatsApp chats. The digital material is expected to form part of the information provided to the investigating team as it examines the case.
