Bhubaneswar, Sept. 21 -- Eight people were injured, including two who sustained critical injuries, after a pickup auto overturned near Roland College in Golanthara in Odisha's Ganjam district on Monday.

The accident took place when the pickup auto reportedly lost balance and overturned while the group was travelling from Kanisi towards the Andhra Pradesh border to attend a feast.

According to information, the vehicle overturned near Roland College after the driver lost control of it. The impact left eight people injured.

Two of the injured sustained critical injuries and required immediate medical attention. Further details about their condition were not available at the time of reporting.
