Bhubaneswar, June 10 -- Six children have been affected by jaundice in Bada Kodanda village under Bhanjanagar block of Ganjam district, Odisha over the last four days, prompting health authorities to launch preventive measures in the area. While four children have recovered, two are still undergoing treatment.

According to local sources, the children initially developed fever and later showed symptoms such as yellowing of the eyes. Blood tests confirmed that all six were suffering from jaundice.

The cases have created concern among villagers, with health officials keeping a close watch on the situation.

Health worker Sabita Nimal said the affected children were referred for medical treatment soon after symptoms were detected.
