Bhubaneswar, March 28 -- Students of a government upper primary school in Odisha's Bhadrak district were forced to sit on the road on Saturday after Self-Help Group (SHG) members locked the institution allegedly over pending payment dues, triggering concern among parents and prompting police intervention.

The incident was reported from Madhusudanpur Kamini Kumari Government Upper Primary School in Basudevpur block, where students arrived on Saturday morning only to find the school gate locked. After waiting for hours without clarity, the children eventually sat on the road outside the premises.
