Bhubaneswar, Jan. 9 -- Security arrangements at Kolkata's Raj Bhavan were significantly strengthened late Thursday night after West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose received a threatening email warning of a possible blast and posing a direct threat to his life, according to an official statement.

The Governor's office said the matter was treated with utmost seriousness and was immediately reported to the Union Home Ministry. The Bengal Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) are now working in close coordination to ensure the Governor's safety. Governor Bose is already under Z-plus category security cover.
