Bhubaneswar, Oct. 21 -- In yet another breach of security protocols inside the holy Jagannath Temple in Puri, a servitor was caught while allegedly taking photographs of devotees inside the shrine using a mobile phone.
According to sources, the incident was reported by temple authorities, who flagged the servitor for flouting the ban on electronic devices within the temple premises. The servitor was then detained by police following the incident, but his identity has not yet been confirmed.
This episode comes shortly after a recent sub-committee decision reinforcing the ban on mobile phones for all individuals inside the temple, including security personnel and servitors, and using walkie-talkies instead.
