Bhubaneswar, March 20 -- The political row over the fire incident at SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMCH), which claimed 13 lives, intensified on Friday, with the Opposition demanding the resignation of the Odisha Health Minister and accusing the government of inaction.
The state government, however, asserted that prompt measures had been taken, including the formation of a technical fact-finding team and the suspension of officials.
BJD MLA Goutam Buddha Das criticised the government, alleging a lack of accountability even five days after the incident.
