Bhubaneswar, March 24 -- Proceedings in the OdishaAssembly were disrupted once again on Tuesday as Opposition members intensified protests over the SCB Medical College and Hospital fire tragedy, forcing repeated adjournments and halting the Question Hour.
Soon after the session began, Opposition legislators rushed to the Well of the House, raising slogans and creating a ruckus. Amid the chaos, Speaker Surama Padhy adjourned the House till 4 pm, as Question Hour could not be conducted.
The Opposition has been protesting in the Assembly since March 17 over the SCB fire incident. Despite an all-party meeting convened by the Speaker, no consensus has been reached so far. On Monday as well, the House was adjourned three times due to continue...
