Bhubaneswar, March 31 -- On Chaitra Shukla Dwadashi, the sacred Vanabasa ritual took place in Puri, marking the beginning of the Ramleela celebrations. Organised by the Markandeshwar Sahi Bhagavati Koti group, the event saw enthusiastic participation from people of all ages. Starting with children, everyone danced in traditional costumes, holding heavy weights from their bodies. The rhythmic beats of drums and mridangas echoed through the streets, adding to the energy of the occasion.
