Amid reports of several fake websites trying to dupe devotees visiting Puri Srimandir, a new controversy has surfaced after a portal named 'India Thrills' published misleading information about paid darshan at the Jagannath Temple.
The website falsely claimed that devotees are required to pay different amounts for darshan depending on the time and category. A so-called rate chart listed fees of Rs 50, Rs 100, and even Rs 500, creating the impression that entry to the temple and darshan of the deities is restricted by payment.
