Bhubaneswar, Sept. 27 -- A seven-to-eight-month-old tiger cub rescued from Khaparkhai village on Saturday under the Thakurmunda Range in Odisha's Mayurbhanj has been kept under special observation, where it is undergoing treatment after being found unwell.

The cub was taken to the Forest Department premises and kept in isolation under special observation.

A veterinary doctor has started treatment, and around 2.5 kg of meat mixed with medicine was given to the cub. The animal is currently calm and is reportedly showing signs of gradual recovery.
