Bhubaneswar, Sept. 23 -- Twenty-eight fishing trawlers carrying 248 fishermen from Andhra Pradesh have taken shelter at Odisha's Paradip Port as rough sea conditions prevented them from returning to their home state.

The Paradip Port Authority permitted the fishermen and their trawlers to take shelter inside the port. They have been accommodated at the EQ-1 berth as a safety measure amid the prevailing weather conditions.

According to reports, signal number 3 continues to remain in force at Paradip Port. As a precautionary measure, restrictions have been imposed on the entry of ships into the harbour.
