Bhubaneswar, Feb. 12 -- PuriPolice on Thursday revealed that the murder of kinnar Anjali, also known as Sona, was carried out with the intention of robbery. The disclosure was made during a press meet.

According to police, the prime accused, notorious robber Krishna Kandi, attacked and killed Anjali for loot. Police conducted an encounter on Wednesday, in which Krishna sustained bullet injuries. His associate, Sanil Kandi, has been arrested in connection with the case.

Police said Krishna attempted to flee and opened fire at the police team when they tried to apprehend him. In retaliatory firing, he was injured after being shot in the leg. He was initially admitted to Pipili Hospital and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital...
