India, July 27 -- A Deep Depression has formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal (BoB) and adjoining areas of the West Bengal-North Odisha coasts, raising the likelihood of heavy to very heavy rainfall across Odisha during the next 24 hours, official sources said on Monday.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre, the weather system is expected to move nearly north-northwestwards and cross the West Bengal-North Odisha coasts between Balasore (Odisha) and Canning (West Bengal) tonight.
