Red alert issued for 3 Odisha districts as IMD forecasts over 20 cm rainfall
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 30 -- Odisha is bracing for extremely heavy rainfall as the low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal continues to influence the state's weather. The IMD has issued a Red Warning for three districts Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Balasore for Sunday, forecasting rainfall exceeding 20 cm at isolated places.
The alert comes at a time when several parts of Odisha are still recovering from recent flood-related damage.
Similarly, an Orange Warning has been issued for eight districts Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Deogarh, Sambalpur and Jharsuguda for very heavy rainfall. Another 19 districts are under a Yellow Warning for heavy rain.
