Bhubaneswar, July 17 -- Several untoward incidents, including accidents, electrocution, and two fatalities, were reported from different parts of Odisha during the Rath Yatra celebrations on Thursday.

As per reports, several individuals also sustained injuries during the celebrations across the state.

In Paradip, two devotees sustained serious injuries after the Dadhinauti (top spire) of a chariot broke when it struck a tree branch. The two critically injured devotees were immediately shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment.

Meanwhile, another mishap occurred during the Rath Yatra at Ranasinghpur under the Jaleswar block configuration.
