Bhubaneswar, Oct. 20 -- A dramatic episode from the Ramayana is attracting visitors to the Alipore Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal in South Kolkata, where artists are recreating the battle between Jatayu and Ravana through a live performance.

The act depicts Ravana abducting Goddess Sita in the Pushpaka Vimana and Jatayu attempting to rescue her. Elaborate costumes, striking masks and expressive movements bring the legendary encounter to life.

A Pushpaka Vimana suspended above the performance area adds to the visual appeal of the performance.
