Bhubaneswar, Oct. 1 -- Several parts of Odisha are likely to receive rainfall today, with the weather department forecasting light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in parts of northern and coastal Odisha.

The forecast indicates that some districts may experience rain along with thunderstorms and gusty winds during the day.

A Yellow Warning has been issued for nine districts on Thursday. The districts under the warning are Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur and Cuttack.

These districts are likely to experience thunderstorms and rain during the forecast period. The weather activity is expected in parts of northern and coastal Odisha.
