Bhubaneswar, July 10 -- The Indian Railways on Friday implemented its revised advance ticket reservation policy from today, bringing a major change for passengers planning train journeys. Under the new system, travellers can now book train tickets up to 60 days in advance, instead of the earlier 120-day window.

The Railway Ministry clarified that tickets already booked for journeys up to October 31 this year will not be affected by the revised rule. Passengers who have already made reservations under the previous system can continue with their travel plans without any changes.
