Bhubaneswar, April 24 -- In a major political development, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha on Friday announced that a significant section of the party's Rajya Sabha members has decided to part ways with the AAP and merge with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Addressing a press conference along with fellow MPs Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal, Chadha claimed that more than two-thirds of AAP's Rajya Sabha members have invoked constitutional provisions to facilitate the merger. "We have decided that we, the two-thirds members belonging to the AAP in the Rajya Sabha, exercise the provisions of the Constitution of India and merge ourselves with the BJP," he said.
