Bhubaneswar, Nov. 4 -- Puri's historic Atharanala is set for a major facelift, with plans underway to transform the heritage site into an attractive tourist destination.

Puri Collector Dibya Jyoti Parida visited Atharanala, Hulhulia Bridge and the Puri Lake project at Khandiabandha to review ongoing and proposed development works.

As part of the Atharanala development plan, measures will be taken to maintain clean water sources, remove weeds, undertake dredging and improve the drainage system. The Collector said the Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC) is executing the project.
