Bhubaneswar, Sept. 29 -- A new development has emerged in the alleged gang-rape case reported from Nimapada in Puri district, with police releasing four youths who had been detained after the complainant reportedly changed her statement before a magistrate.

The case pertains to allegations made by a young woman who had recently joined a private guest house in Nimapada. According to the complaint, she had earlier been working at a guest house in Bhubaneswar before taking up employment at the Nimapada facility on September 1.

She had alleged that four youths working at the guest house sexually assaulted her on September 8.
