Bhubaneswar, April 2 -- The enforcement of Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC) checks will be intensified across Odisha from Thursday. Authorities are stepping up inspections after a period of relaxed verification that remained in place until April 1.

The move comes as part of an ongoing state-wide road safety initiative, which was extended till April 10 on the instructions of the Odisha Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena. 

The campaign, which began on March 21, is aimed at reducing road accidents and improving compliance among motorists.
