Bhubaneswar, Feb. 8 -- FormerOdisha MLA Bikram Panda was rushed to MKCG Medical College and Hospital on Sunday after he complained of severe abdominal pain while lodged at Berhampur Jail, officials said. He was shifted from the jail to the hospital under tight security arrangements for medical treatment.

Bikram Panda is currently in judicial custody in connection with the murder of advocate Pitabas Panda.

According to reports, Panda suffers from piles and complained of pain in his lower abdomen. He was initially provided treatment inside the jail before being referred to MKCG Medical College and Hospital for further medical evaluation.
